Trip quickly realizes that Monkey is her ticket to freedom and the only hope is to return home. She puts on Monkey a special hoop, which will bind them. If she dies, he will die too, and her journey now becomes his. The player assumes the role of Monkey, who must use all his combat skills, tactics and environment to survive on his own way to escape and not allow Trip to perish.
