In this edition, the author has studied the XI century miniatures with images of Prince Yaropolk Izyaslavich located in the so-called Code of Gertrude - Psalms, written in Latin, on the orders of the Archbishop of Trier Ekberta (977-993). Sheets thumbnail created after writing the text and woven into a code in the XI century. They were made to Gertrude, wife of Grand Duke Izyaslav Yaroslavich, the mother of his third son Yaropolk. She came from Poland and, most likely, was the daughter of Prince Boleslaw the Brave. Her son Yaropolk represented himself a prominent figure in the history of Kiev specific struggle for the throne. The author tells about the history of the manuscript and a detailed analysis of the prince of Kiev in the image thumbnail. For the study, researchers drew a wide range of written and visual sources, allowing to reconstruct the era and cultural environment of the time Yaropolk. Researchers are studying all the details of the interest of his miniatures and compares them with other images of the time.
