Thousands of years after the disappearance of the Orionians, ten races in the sector of Orion (this area of ​​the galaxy named after the ancient race) received knowledge of spaceflight. At the beginning of the game, the player chooses which race he will play, and controls her struggle with other races for dominance in the galaxy.
Gameplay Master of Orion, as well as its close Civilization, Colonization, Master of Magic, Cavewars, includes the economic, scientific, military and diplomatic components. The game takes place in a step-by-step mode.
The player controls one of the empires (in total there are from 2 to 6 empires in the game) fighting for dominance in the Galaxy. There are no different empires of the same race, so the words "empire" and "race" in the game can be considered synonymous. The leader of the empire has 2 properties, one of which determines its external, and another internal policy.
The galaxy consists of several dozen stars, the location of which before each game is randomly generated.

Master of Orion II: Battle at Antares (1996)
You are the ruler of the star empire - you can become the lord of the galaxy, capture Orion and destroy entire races ... it all depends on you. The richest technology tree, deployed diplomacy, the ability to design ships themselves, and most importantly - an infinite number of ways to win!
