There are five different approaches to marketing management:
1. The concept of improving production, which argues that consumers prefer products with low prices, therefore, it is necessary to reduce costs in production.
2. The concept of improving the product assumes that consumers prefer high-quality goods and in this case, sales promotion is not required.
3. The concept of intensification of commercial efforts is based on the fact that the goods will not be bought without significant efforts in the sphere of sales and stimulation.
4. The concept of marketing is based on the assertion that the firm must identify, through research, the requests and needs of an accurately delineated market and ensure their desired satisfaction.
5. The concept of social and ethical marketing proclaims, by its principle, the achievement of the organization´s goals and its ability to provide consumer satisfaction and the long-term well-being of both the consumer and society as a whole.
