Headquarters. Stand and improve your space station - a huge base where you can lay new ships, conduct scientific research, create autonomous flotillas and much more.
Capture the territory. Spread your influence in neutral territories, fighting with small fractions, or conquer the entire constellation of Gemini, speaking against the mighty opponents you know from the previous games of the series. Leave the garrisons on the conquered territories so that they can defend themselves from enemies.
Explore technologies that improve the armament of ships, learn how to build giant ships of the "Titan" class and increase the efficiency of your peaceful ships. Equipment, ship systems, improvements and the ships themselves can still be bought, but the best technique can only be researched and built independently.
For construction and research, resources are required. Collect them, performing the tasks of other factions, with the help of trade - or by military means. Capture the territory to get resources and other bonuses.
