Stronghold Crusader 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original castle-sim Stronghold: Crusader. After 12 years, Stronghold returns to 1189 in the deserts of the Middle East, but with a new 3D engine and realistic lock destruction system created with the help of Havok Physics. Firefly Studios recreates an authentic lock simulator with fast and exciting gameplay.

New Stronghold is true to its roots and is an old-school game that combines elements of real-time strategy and urban planning simulator. Having made the choice between the cruel Knights Crusaders or the Arab freedom fighters, you will have to wage huge armies and siege equipment in order to decide the fate of the Holy Lands. Join the war on behalf of Richard the Lionheart or the Sultan of Syria in two historic single-player campaigns where dynamic events such as tornadoes and a locust invasion will accompany you. Become the greatest Lord, taking the reins of economic management in the desert, and holding control over the vital oases.

To dominate the battlefield, you will need to master more than 25 unique types of units with special abilities. Raise the morale of your troops with the help of royal sergeants, break into battle with a detachment of Sassanian knights, bring down a volley of arrows at the enemy from the strong bows of the Archers or seize the enemy´s castle, skillfully using silent Assassins. Having perfected your skills, test your skills in melee mode or fight online against 8 players and Lords-AI. Organize teams, choose different AI opponents and create your own maps for combat and multiplayer!
