Dark and Sinister is the first set of Lords for Total War: WARHAMMER. Expanding the capabilities of the Empire and the Vampire Counts, it adds two iconic characters and a host of iconic units from the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe to campaigns and battles.

Intending to plunge the Empire into eternal darkness, the cunning and ruthless midnight aristocracy has summoned new nightmarish creatures. Terrible strigs - the ancient kings of ghouls - crawl out of their catacombs at the smell of blood, and Gelman Gorst, the most sinister of Manfred´s students, put aside his studies to prepare new corpse trucks for battle.

But the proud people of the Empire do not give up. In this difficult hour, all eyes are on Volkmar the Grim, the Great Theogonist of the Sigmarites. Pious, stern, and utterly loyal to Karl Franz, Volkmar summons his Arch Lectors and rides into battle on the war altar of Sigmar, filling the undead with dread in the beating hearts.
