Description

To determine the content of trivalent iron in concentrated sulfuric acid in the form of sulfosalicylate, the sample is placed in a 100.0 ml flask, the necessary reagents are added and water is brought to the mark. The optical density is measured at a wavelength of 420 nm in a cuvette with a light-absorbent layer thickness l = 3 (cm). The molar coefficient of light absorption under these conditions is 6000. Calculate the weight of sample acid for analysis, if = 0.005%, and the optimum optical density is 0.435
